Have you ever seen a hollow pearl the size of a man's hand that looks like a bird without its head and tail feathers?

Rare Large Hollow Pearl

This large hollow blister pearl was with me for a time and the more I looked at it, the more it resembled a headless bird.

It was obviously too big for jewelry and so it could only be a natural curiosity for someone's Curiosity Shelf but I could not help but think it had more potential than just sitting on someone's shelf getting dusty.

Fits into a Man's Hand

Since it was hollow, why not make it into a stunning one-of-a-kind perfume bottle? A modern day useful objet d'art.

Hollow pearl spilling out pearls

Right before Christmas, three of my children - Andrew, Sarah, John, and I, enjoyed preparing for and hosting a local premiere for a movie a friend of ours, Ryan T. Murphy, made in Hollywood this year.

It's a movie about Batman. We were so proud of him for doing this and we wanted to encourage him. It was so much fun!
