I hope you have all enjoyed your summer. It's my favorite time of year. When I see our lavender New England Asters starting to bloom I know that fall and winter are soon coming and I'm never quite ready for that.

This morning I enjoyed watching two hummingbirds on our patio getting nectar from our huge red Hibiscus flowers and magenta Cock's Comb.

We're also having a blast with our good friend, Lilia, from Switzerland, who is staying with us for a few weeks. Her many giggles have enlivened our lives.
