Anniversary Pearl in my crab!

Last night my husband and I went out to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. We were enjoying some delicious king crab when I bit down on something hard, spit it out what looked like a solid garbanzo bean shaped Pearl! Asked the waitress and she said its rare but she thinks it's a Pearl! So glad to have found this site with so many other stories! We couldn't believe it, and it felt like a special gift was given to us on our anniversary :)

Does anyone know how these are formed? What they are made of?

I'd like to get it made into a necklace or bracelet. It's so meaningful to us.
