This elegant natural saltwater pearl necklace dates from about 1910, and consists of 141 lustrous, round white pearls of pinkish overtone -- the highest quality specifications, and beautifully matched!
The clasp is 14K gold, set with a deep greenish-blue natural tourmaline; a stone found in jewelry of the Edwardian era, but not often since then. (The photos do not show the true color of the tourmaline, as they make it look too dark.) There are two rose diamonds flanking the central stone.
The necklace is 18 inches long (known as 'princess length') and just restrung on white silk. It comes with both the certificate shown, and appraisal in the amount of $9,010.
Today's yield of natural pearls is negligible, and the supply of antique pearl necklaces is of course limited, so don't hesitate to grab these rare collectibles!
