Dirty Pearls

My sister gave me these dirty looking pearl beads which she acquired in a lot that she purchased at a pawn shop. She was told they are natural pearls. They have a moonstone type luster greyish beige. Not perfectly round but close. They look old and dirty. Can you tell me anything about them and if they have any value?

Thank you for your inquiry about the beads. I do not think those are pearls. They look more like beads made out of shells.

But they are still beautiful and I'm sure they can be used for something special.
