Do You Like Michelle Bachmann's Pearls?
We've talked about Rick Perry's jewelry overdose. Now it's time to turn our attention to Michele Bachmann.
At last night's GOP debate, Bachmann looked elegant in a black jacket and dress with her hair swept up into a chignon.
But we couldn't take our eyes off her jewelry, which consisted of a necklace and earrings made of oversized pearls.
Some viewers thought the necklace was too long for the high neckline, while we wondered about the sheer size of the earrings. But Bachmann is in good pearl company, considering a female political rival has already made pearl earrings a Capitol Hill trend: Nancy Pelosi.
Pearl earrings are, of course, the former Speaker of the House's signature, often seen tucked under her brunette bob. But Bachmann wore her oversized baubles exposed for full effect.
