Merman Pearl Jewel by Bar-Jan Jewelry

Merman was created this year (2012) by jeweler Barry Barash. The Merman is of jeweler's silver, gold plated and enameled. He is 7 inches tall from ring at top to bottom of lowest dangle and 4 1/4 inches wide. The pearl is a very, very large freshwater baroque from China. The dangling pearls were the finest in a lot of 10 large teardrop pearls found on E-bay. The other jewels are semi-precious, mostly garnet. Barry made every bit of the piece including the chain that suspends the piece. Barry owns and operates Bar-Jan Jewelry in Kingston NY, 12401.
