Miss Piggy in Pearls
Miss Piggy in Pearls
She's the karate-chopping diva who has ruled the Muppet roost for nearly 40 years, and now ahead of the opening of her latest movie, Miss Piggy is taking the fashion world by storm.
The Muppets - written by and co-starring Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor, Jason Segel - will see Miss Piggy reincarnated as the editor of Vogue Paris dripping in Chanel tweed and pearls and sporting an Anna Wintour-a-like bob.
With part of the shoot taking place during New York Fashion Week early last year (Miss Piggy was seen sitting front row at Michael Kors and snapped at Marc Jacobs's HQ posing in a custom-made polka dot dress from his main line collection), the fashionable buzz around the film is reaching fever pitch and Miss Piggy has become quite the in-demand muse.

Already this year, she's been the subject of a main fashion spreading American In Style magazine, who invited some of New York's brightest design stars including Jason Wu (the man behind Michelle Obama's inauguration gown), Prabal Gurung, Suno and shoe designer Brian Atwood to design a catwalk-worthy outfit for her; appeared at New York's Opening Ceremony boutique on Fashion's Night Out to promote a special range of Muppet inspired fashion for the ultra-cool store; and collaborated with cosmetics giant M.A.C on a capsule make-up range (containing false eyelashes, pink blusher and black eyeliner) which hit stores today.
