Natural Pearl Necklace of 1,888 Natural Pearls on Display at Louvre Abu Dhabi
Comprising of 1,888 natural pearls, this necklace was a gift from late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1971 to the renowned Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum.
Such a gift emphasizes the nation’s long history and expertise with the pearl trade, as the region once was the main supplier of pearls to the rest of the world.
Discover it in our latest exhibition ‘10,000 Years of Luxury' open until 18 February 2020.
