My dad passed away a year ago and I finally got a chance to get away for a few days for my birthday. My husband and myself went to Mexico (Sea of Cortez) and took my mom for some much needed rest and relaxation. Our fav meal was getting local shrimp and clams to eat at our rental. Some of my best childhood memories are clamming and crabbing every summer in the east coast with my dad. We consumed soooo many clams over the years and I finally found a pearl. I truly believe it was a birthday gift from above. Thank you all for sharing your info so I could learn more about what I found...or was gifted?!!

What a great outlook and I think that way too. God loves to bless us with special gifts from time to time.

Glad you finally found a pearl after so many years of clamming and crabbing.
