Pinkish clam pearl in seafood dish

Hi,Kari, I bit into a 5-6mm light pinkish clam pearl in my seafood dish at a restaurant in Providence Rhode Island. Just curious on if there is any value to this pearl? I would rather sell it than keep it for myself. Thank you for any advice you can offer. I attached a couple of good photos.

Hi Kim, So were you eating Little Neck clams or Cherrystone clams in the seafood dish? I'd need to know more about what type of seafood. If those were in the meal, then perhaps you found a very rare quahog pearl. It does seem on the last photo that a crack appears, however. If that is so, I'm sorry to say that a crack greatly deflates the value of a natural pearl. Even if it doesn't affect the integrity of the pearl in that it most likely won't break off, it does decrease the appearance, which is so important in natural pearls. So, yes, on the one hand there is also some value in natural pearls but a crack unfortunately makes it much less of value.
Thanks for sharing! God bless, Kari
