During WWII my grandfather (A pilot in that war) bought my grandmother a conch pearl ring. My Grandmother no longer wore this ring, and kept in an old box at the back of her dresser draw. When she past away the ladies in my family claimed the more modern jewellery on her dresser while I sorted and packed her cloths for use at the old peoples home. I was no interested in Jewellery, laying claim only to an old ceramic buddah that once was my grandfathers. Leaving me to clean up the rest of what they did not want, I found her old jewellery in this box at the back of her dresser draw. My grandfather (deceased) was a wealthy freemason, and I did not know this at the time. Hard times came my way recently, and I had somebody take a look at that old jewellery, only to discover it was worth a great deal of money. The person who looked at it was able to tell me the value of the stones, but not this great looking Conch Pearl set in an 18ct gold setting.
