Yes, this is a Basra Pearl. It comes from the Persian Gulf. Only pearls from the Persian Gulf can be called Basra Pearls. It is also a saltwater pearl as are many pearls around the world, but to be more specific, it is a Basra Pearl from the Persian Gulf. Thanks for asking!
