Seven arrested with elephant pearls
Sri Lanka - The Crime Investigation Unit of the Kurunegala police arrested seven suspects along with the three-wheeler that they had traveled on, in an attempt to sell four Elephant Pearls worth Rupees 4 million in the Uyandana area.
The suspects who were arrested belong to the ages of 18,27,34,38,41,53 and 54 residing in Dankotuwa, Wariyapola and Uyandana areas.
They will be produced to the Kurunegala Magistrate today. Further investigations are being conducted by the Kurunegala Police.
