I was shocked (and in a little pain) when I bit down on this pearl at a restaurant near the beach! Is there any value to pearls like this. The picture shows it next to a quarter.

Hi, thanks for showing the big pearl you found at Po-Boy restaurant. Since pearls from edible oysters usually lack luster, their value is mostly as collector's items or conversation pieces. You pearl is bigger than most. No wonder you had pain biting on it. Glad you didn't break a tooth! It would make a nice keepsake item as all natural pearls are special and rare.
